Power with Groups
Why Power with Groups?
Meetings have become a key process for running modern organisations. However the productivity of time spent in meetings is rarely optimal. Indeed sometimes the interactions between people can become complex and 'games' develop. These games, plus lack of chairing skills and processes, can adversely affect the positive result of many group events and meetings.
What results will I achieve?
Participants will be able to create and agree well-formed outcomes, keep meetings on track in a professional manner and use language that heightens group rapport and receptivity. The following topics are addressed:
- Group cohesiveness
- Mutual benefit statements and building rapport
- Communication - advanced language patterns
- Group consensus - turning outcomes into reality
- Group commitment - making it happen
- Handling conflict - with confidence and assertion
- Pacing and leading to gain rapport
- Self handling and remaining resourceful
- Group dynamics and the psychology of groups
- Chairmanship - the skills of the professional influencer
- Facilitating results
Who is it for?
People who are already experienced at running meetings or have consistently demonstrated a high skill level in group events. Attendees should attend willingly and have a desire to improve their results with groups of customers and colleagues.
How are our workshops structured?
Skills are demonstrated by the tutors, using short input sessions, exercises and skills practise. Frameworks are all modelled upon people who have demonstrated Excellence in their field.
